Abbey Road

I fell in love from the very first time I saw this picture.
It's so simple yet meaningful and artistic.
Well, I just started to listen to The Beatles and (of course!) they were amazing. They're simply genius artists who make beautiful music that could touch thousands and millions hearts.
My favorite Beatle? Paul McCartney, of course.
He's good looking, he's left handed (I don't know, but I always pay extra attention on left-handed guitarists), and he's a great artist.
But, if you're talking about artist, John Lennon is the man. He's just so creative and everything.
Anyway, I'm not a hardcore Beatles fans (not yet) so I can't write hundreds words about how amazing they are, because I haven't listen to the entire 'Abby Road' itself.
So give me time to enjoy the tracks that they offer me, and amazed yourself, by this amazing facts about that simple picture shown on the above (source: Wikipedia) :

1. Taken by photographer Iain Macmillan. Macmillan was given only ten minutes around 11:30 that morning to take the photo on a zebra crossing on Abbey Road.
2. That cover photograph has since become one of the most famous and most imitated album covers in recording history
3. The Beatles walk across the street single file from left to right, with Lennon leading, followed by Starr, McCartney, and Harrison. McCartney is bare-footed and out of step with the other three
4. With the exception of Harrison the group are wearing suits designed by Tommy Nutter.
5. The man standing on the pavement in the background is Paul Cole, an American tourist unaware he had been photographed until he saw the album cover months later.
6. The zebra crossing today remains a popular destination for Beatles fans.
7. The Volkswagen Beetle (LMW 281F) parked next to the zebra crossing belonged to one of the people living in the apartment across from the recording studio. In 1986, the car was sold at auction for £2,530.

Now Playing

My holiday is filled with boredom and anything else related to the word 'bore'.
So I decided to listen to some music from different genres (which is quite amazing, imagine Lady Gaga playing right after Nirvana??!!) and I got some tracks that are totally brighten up my day:

1. Do You Wanna Dance? - Emily's Army

I really can't wait for their new record 7" (read: 7 inch) w
hich will be released soon. And while waiting for it, they're posting some of their new tracks on their myspace page and ALL of them was awesome!! They had been improved, and I kinda like their new sound (which is actually not really different from the previous, but BETTER!) and from all of the 6 new tracks that they posted, 'Do You Wanna Dance?' is my favourite.

2. Mrs. Cold - Kings of Convenience
They keep reminding me of Landon Pigg's sound (or maybe Pete Yorn?) but anyway their music is relaxing. I try to listen to this track first thing in
the morning and it gave me this cold breeze which I found comfortable. And if I'm not mistaken, they are going to perform in Jakarta (or maybe they had performed.). I bet the concert was amazing. But anyway, I'll keep in mind to buy their record if I got the chance to visit the music store.

3. Blah Blah Blah - Ke$ha ft. 3OH!3

It's an old track. I know. But they just released the music video, and let me tell you, it SUCKS! It looks so cheap and annoying and how Ke$ha got to jump up and down with the string that tied on her back looks so fake. Thank God, 3OH!3 make the video a whole lot better as they appeared for the last part of the video. Other than that, the video was miserable.

4. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns 'n Roses

I'm trying to play the guitar part of this song. And for the record, it took quite a long time for me to master the intro and the verses part. Don't ask about the solo. It was so hard until my head turns dizzy everytime I look into the music sheet. But then again, who am I compared to the legendary Slash who master the solos in his blink of an eye? (Wait, isn't he the one who composed it?)

And THAT is how I spend my holiday.
(yea, right -_-)

Miserably Accurate

It was actually not a habit of mine, to check facebook such as this time, since I'm usually too busy with my Twitter and Tumblr and I practically got no time to open facebook.
But today, unlike the usual, I check my facebook account.
Well of course, as usual, I found nothing interesting. Just a few notifications and my friends updating their status every 5 minutes.
I almost sign out because of the boringness it offers me, but then one of my friend's post (Katina!! haha..) catched my eyes. It was this fortune teller thingy that said that she could predict our future, and Kat told me that most of the time her prediction was accurate.
So I try it, anyway.
And here's what I got:

"Febie sweetie,
forget the past and focus on the future.
Stop obsessing on what you have lost
and get what you need now."

OMG!!! Seriously!!! WTF!!!
No, it's not wrong. Sadly, it is 100% correct.
For those who know what I meant, they will be laughing their ass off if they see this.
This is so true and yet it kinda tease me a little bit. That even if I'm a forgetful person on the outside, sometimes I can't forget quite easily. Especially the ones that I lost
Gah!
But wait......
What do I need now??

Fever Fever

"Fever - in the the morning, fever all through the night.
Sun lights up the daytime, moon lights up the night."
-Fever by Michael Buble

So, for the past few days, I’ve been dealing with headaches, bones aching, sometimes numb, high body temperatures, losing my appetite, which led me into the final statement that: I’m having a fever.

It’s not that bad. Just so you know. I mean, I didn’t get shipped off into the nearest hospital. (Practically because my family is a hospital (read: some of them work as doctors, nurses, surgeons, etc.) So if I ever got send into a hospital and stay for a night there, that means that I’m having a really really really really bad disease.

Which I’m not having right now.

It’s just a fever. But still it drives my mom nuts. It’s driving every mom nuts if they find out their daughters are having fever. She couldn’t stop babbling about how a light fever can transformed into some dangerous diseases that will put my life at stake.

But for the sake of it! It’s JUST a fever.

Well, actually, I’m pretty much suffered as I went day by day barely doing nothing because I don’t have enough energy to barely do anything (since I barely didn’t eat ANYTHING!!) And all I can do is just laying on the bed and listening to my mom’s jazz CDs (because she said they can calm me down, and just like I said, I didn’t have enough energy to change the CD into something more suitable for me, Rolling Stones for example.)

What’s worse? I’m sick while WEEKEND is GOING ON outside the room where I was laying languidly. This always happen to me. Those naughty little bacteria and germs come into my body just before weekend or the holidays started and when I’m finally free from my school days they will take control of my body and make me down. But then, miraculously, they disappeared just before the school about to start.

In other words, I’m SICK only when it’s NO-SCHOOL DAY(S) and I RECOVER when it’s SCHOOL DAY. Thank God it doesn’t happen to me EVERY weekend. But sure it happen on most of my holidays. Oh, darn it!

This is what I called the ‘Unfairness of Life.’

ps: I had wrote about the jazz CDs that my mom played for me, and yeah, there are some Michael Buble's in it. I know he's not into the type of the music that I like, but that track at the beginning of this post can seriously makes you feel asleep. Ha! No kidding!!

Green Day Live In Singapore

I hate them so much for coming to Singapore this early until I couldn't watch their earth-shaking concert.
I was set to depart from Medan to Singapore on May. And the concert happened to be set on January 14th. So it was actually months away from what it SUPPOSED to be. (that was too much, huh?)
I know 14th January is a long time ago, but I just had the idea to write it down in my blog like 5 minutes ago. :p
Anyway, I read the articles about their concert and how the writers of the articles pissed me off by saying that the concert is 'worth-watching' and 'magnificent' and 'no-regret-of-watching'.
Well, here's their setlist:

Green Day Setlist Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore, Singapore 2010, 21st Century Breakdown World Tour

I'm loving the fact that their actually covering my favorite tracks such as: Highway To Hell, Hey Jude, Love Me Tender, etc.
And still I'm not enough of that, I browse the pics that were taken from the concert, and it blown my mind away, nice work Billie!

And from all of the articles that I read, this one is my favorite: click here.
Oh, and, quoting from the article:

IT’S something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. I hope you had the time of your life.
– Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life), Green Day
