PLASTISCINES

Kinda remind me of The Runaways style, this all-female French rock band is surely awesumm!!! They got the style, the music, and the look. The Plastiscines are:
Katty Besnard (singer/guitar)
Marine Neuilly (guitar)
Louise Basilien (bass)
Anoushka Vandevyvere (drums)
Caroline & Zazie Tavitian (former drummers)

Formed in 2004, they all, except Louise, went to the same school, and met Louise, who was originally a harpist, at the Libertines concert. Their influences including the White Stripes, Strokes, Kinks, and Blondie. This is what I like about this band. They got the same taste of music as I am, and their songs show that! Their name was originally taken from The Beatles song entitled 'Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds' from the phrase "plasticine porters with looking glass ties."

The Plastiscines debut was when they were featured on one of the Gossip Girl episodes "They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?" And their new single "Barcelona" just hit iTunes on January 2010.

Despite their fame in the music world, the Plastiscines are also famous in fashion industry. Their edgy boho rock 'n roll chic style had made them got into some of the fashion magazines.

They are sure going to be the NEXT BIG THING!!
